Great movie! 

I liked Jodie Foster’s role … if you watch her first scene and who she is talking to and what they are doing … it comes around full circle in her last scene … what the governor calls her is spot on! That was a great character for her!  
 
There are several moments like this … an early scene comes full circle in a much later scene … so do as the narrator in the first scene says and pay attention!

Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Willem Defoe and Christopher Plummer were all well cast in their roles!    

I loved the camera work! 

Good plot … some of the humor was totally unexpected, making us laugh even harder!   

Long movie … I thought there was gonnabe more action … at a point it seemed to drag. I only looked at my watch that once and there was only 20 minutes left of the 2 hour and 9 minute movie so the dragging wasn’t bad at all, specially for a drama!

I recommend it!

I am apparantly working in B&W this week :-) 

Darrin is an author … he wrote a chapter for a book … it’s about soldiers … DUH … and the above picture could possibly be in the book … he befriended an Iraqi family while he was in Iraq 2003-2004 … he made it a personal goal to share & explain many of the American holidays with the kids. Here he is with them on Valentine’s Day.

Hearing the story of this family … well … two words come to mind … culture shock!
