We walked thru a lot of interesting neighborhoods to get to this out-of-the-way place for ice cream!
It was fun! Definitely better than the itanian ice cream we had from a street vendor!!

Have you ever had a badd week? One where you don’t get any sleep, work stinks, everything seems to be going wrong and nothing you say comes out right? Well and then you keep repeating yourself hoping that eventually something intelligent will come out! *sigh* It never does, does it?
I can’t complain .. while it has been a blah week I have been in a fantastic mood … I am not gonna let the small stuff get me down! There are so many worse places I could be. I am very fortunate and very happy …

BUTTERFLY …
pain and horror hit this nation
on that fateful day
when our home was attacked
in a cruel and vicious way how many people stood in shock
felt numb with disbelief
could only wonder why
as they tried to deal with grief
WHY …
why did this happen to us
can we recover when so much is gone
why did they take the innocent
what did we do that was so very wrong
TIME GOES BY …
we have proven that we won’t lie down
as a nation we will stand and fight
we will remain true and faithful
to what we believe is right
firefighters and soldiers
protect us and keep us free
becuz of this and much much more
heros they will always be
WHY …
they don’t do it for glory
they don’t do it for fame
to me it doesn’t matter why
but they do it just the same
bravery continues
as a nation we’ve begun to heal
reach out, support our heros
they make this country REAL …
TRANSFORMATION …
because of them there is hope
we are off to a good start
keep firefighters and soldiers
safe within your heart!
