February 17, 2007 … European wrestling championships …

“Well the European Championships are over after two days of intense wrestling competition.  William placed second in all of Europe.  It’s like the state championships in the United States.  Its a big deal to make it that far and to place here in Germany there is alot of hard work.  William upset the tournament in his weight class by beating one guy from Italy thats record was 21-1 and another guy from England whose record was 17-0.  They both recieved losses courtesy of my son, who by the way wrestles at the 215 pound weight class and only weighs 191 pounds.  William is also a sophomore and all the kids he beat were Seniors.  Even better !!! I am so proud of him.  These pictures are from the reporter that came.” – SFC Darrin M. Domko
